Not intentionally flexing here, but I can't remember the last time I was surprised by a movie twist as I find so many are very formulaic and mainstream, dumbed down for bums on seats, rather than discerning audiences, but I guess we all have to make a living, right?

That's not to say I haven't enjoyed a good film in the last 5 years but they do seem far and few between - I'm not going to name and shame any because it's subjective - but for plot twists, I'd have to credit "Parasite" for the (no spoilers) reality check twist at the very end.
